Meet Bryn Karaus

Many of you said, "I want to meet the people running things in our community." So, I’ll be sharing some of the incredible faces I’m meeting from time to time— meet Bryn Karaus: 👇

Background:

👋: Estate planning isn’t exactly a common dinner table topic, but Bryn makes it feel a lot less overwhelming. She’s an attorney who helps families make sure their loved ones are taken care of before life throws a curveball. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Brown University and her law degree from the University of Virginia.

Insight:

💡: Most people think estate planning is for the ultra-rich. It’s not. Bryn hears it all the time: “I don’t have a yacht, do I really need this?” Her take is that the reality is if you own a home, have savings, or just want to make life easier for the people you love, having a plan is crucial. Without one, the state decides what happens, and… well, it’s rarely what you’d want.

Food for thought:

🧠: Bryn says life milestones like buying a home, getting married, having kids, or even turning 18 are the best times to set up or update your estate plan. "It's much easier (and less stressful) to do this now while you're clear-headed, rather than during a crisis."

Bryn mentioned that if someone isn’t sure where to start, the best thing to do is just call. She and her team offer no-cost consultations where they talk through your situation, and answer your questions.
