Meet Dr. Kimberly Tyborowski

Many of you said, "I want to meet the people running things in our community." So, I’ll be sharing some of the incredible faces I’m meeting from time to time— meet Dr. Kimberly Tyborowski: 👇

Background:

👋: After years as a clinic director in Woodbridge, Kim knew she wanted something closer to home, both for her family and the Alexandria community she loved. In 2021, she opened Fusion Alexandria, a private physical therapy clinic offering full-body care. While other Fusion locations started as clinic-run models, Kim was the first to launch with ownership from day one, paving the way for the brand to expand into Northern Virginia. Today, the clinic serves everyone from student athletes to new moms and marathoners, each treated like a whole person, not just a diagnosis.

Insight:

💡: Treating athletes gave Kim a strong foundation in sports medicine, but it wasn’t until she had her daughter that she realized how underserved women are during and after pregnancy. Now, she brings that same whole-body, performance-focused approach to helping moms recover, regain strength, and return to movement with confidence. “After I had my daughter, I realized how little support there was for women during and after pregnancy. Even as a healthcare professional, I felt lost. That’s what pushed me to specialize in pelvic floor therapy because women deserve better care, not just for recovery, but to feel strong and confident in their bodies again.”

Food for thought:

🧠: So many of us associate physical therapy with injury recovery, but what Kim offers is a reminder that care can be preventative, too. Whether it’s dry needling for tension, or pelvic floor support before and after childbirth, these aren’t luxury treatments. They’re tools for long-term health. The question she prompted us to answer was what would change for you if you saw wellness not just as a fix, but as a foundation?
